EICMA Hosts FCBM Managing Committee Meet at Taj Bengal on 19th July

The Eastern India Corrugated Box Manufacturers’ Association (EICMA) had the proud privilege of hosting the FCBM Managing Committee Meeting on 19th July 2025 at the iconic Taj Bengal, Kolkata. The preceding day was equally eventful, packed with engaging sessions and meaningful developments for the association.

The day began with Subcommittee Meetings, setting the tone for collaborative thinking and focused discussions across various verticals of the industry. This was followed by the EICMA Annual General Meeting, which also marked a formal transition of leadership. Shri Achyut Chandra handed over the reins to Shri Pradip Agarwal, who assumed charge as the new President of EICMA.

During the AGM, key matters on the association’s agenda were discussed in the presence of its members. As part of the change in leadership, Shri Alok Agarwal was elected Vice President and Shri Anish Das took over as Treasurer. Shri Samir B. Mehta continues in his role as Honorary Secretary. The new President, Shri Pradip Agarwal, shared his vision for the road ahead—emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and member engagement as the cornerstones of his tenure.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was an insightful presentation by Shri K.P. Singh on “Systemize the Process to Enhance Profits.” His structured approach and practical advice resonated strongly with members, offering clear strategies to streamline operations and drive profitability.

Adding further value, Shri Alok Gupta conducted an engaging GST Quiz, which was both informative and interactive. This was followed by his well-organized presentation on GST audit procedures, offering critical compliance insights to members. The quiz was won by Shri Rajendra ji Agarwal as the top scorer, followed by Ms. Chaitali Jain.

A proud moment for the fraternity came with the felicitation of Shri. M.L. Agarwal, who has recently been elevated as Chairman of ICCA. The Honour was conferred by Shri Satish Kapur, Past President of FCBM, in an atmosphere filled with warmth and applause.

EICMA’s trusted brand partners also took the stage to showcase their latest offerings and technological advancements, underlining their continued support for the corrugated packaging industry. Simultaneously, an FCBM PMCC (Paper Mill Coordination Committee) meeting was held, bringing together representatives from eastern region paper mills, dealers, and members of the corrugation community to foster deeper industry dialogue. The event concluded on a high note with a grand Cultural Evening and Dinner, where over 200 attendees —including families and industry stakeholders — came together to celebrate fellowship, culture, and progress.
